If you register as a student, we ask you for your email address and we will send you a welcoming email to verify your username and password. We will also communicate with you in response to your inquiries, to provide the services you request, and to manage your account.
Regarding newsletters, special offers, surveys, etc. our policy is simple: we will only send you these messages if you choose to opt in to our mailing list.
If you choose to participate in a survey, we will request certain personally identifiable information from you. Participation in surveys is completely voluntary. The requested information typically includes contact information such as name and email address. We use this information to improve our Web site.

Using a "Teacher ID"
Sometimes a student will use this website at the request of their teacher. In these cases, the student may elect to enter a "Teacher ID" into their student profile. When the student enters a Teacher ID into their student profile, they are enabling that teacher to view their name, email address, and their recorded grades.
The student controls this access by choosing whether or not to enter a Teacher ID into their student profile. The student can disable the teacher's access at any time by removing the Teacher ID from their student profile. The teacher can also cause the Teacher ID to be removed from the student's profile by deleting the student from their list of students.
This website is not targeted to children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. If a child under 13 submits personal information and we learn that that personal information is the information of a child under 13, we will attempt to delete the information as soon as possible.
We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our Web site.

Supplementation of Teacher Information
If you register as a teacher, we collect various information such as email, name, school name and address and phone number. We collect this information so that we can confirm that you actually are a teacher.
Sometimes we offer educational discounts to bonafide Spanish teachers. In order to qualify teachers for educational discounts, we may call or email the teacher's employer for the purpose of verifying the teacher's credentials as a Spanish teacher.
